A RING PILLOW TO KEEP by Catherine Lash
Finding a beautiful ring pillow is not an easy task; finding one that compliments to your fashionable decor is especially challenging!
Anna Whitford is an interior accessories designer from the UK, who also owns a home accessories business she launched three years ago. She has recently discovered, with the help of her clients' pleas, that her beautiful pillows make wonderful wedding keepsakes.
Anna's gorgeous satin pillows are embellished with oversized faux suede, hand sculpted flowers. At the centre of the flower, a satin ribbon has been added to ensure your rings reach the altar. One of the things that attracted me to these pillows was their wide range of colours. Don't be fooled by the bridal section on her website! Anna will customize your order to match the colours you have chosen for your wedding.
But don't stop there; Anna's floral corsages and clip purses are great for bridesmaids to add to their ensemble while the floral tie-backs would beautifully decorate chair backs and later be very functional at home for controlling curtains.
It might be hard to believe but a beautiful, unique and functional ring pillow does exist. The only problem is that you won't want to give the pillow up to the ring bearer - be prepared and have a little something for him and her to keep when their job is done.

BREAKING THE DECORATING RULES
Left Image: You can...use large patterns in a small area. The conventional rule says don't, but it works if you use a pattern with a pale background on one wall only. Then use the background colour on the other walls and declutter the rest of the room.
Right Image: You can...decorate with brilliant white. The key here is to team with subtle shades of ivory, linen and off-whites, so it doesn't look too stark. Mix with a little warm wood and add textured throws and rugs, and cushions with pretty details. Texture creates areas of dark and light, so what looks at first glance to be a one-colour scheme is actually filled with different shades.

'The last time sunflowers were acceptable in home decoration was about 15 years ago. But with the arrival of Anna Whitford's joyous cushions we may need to reassess their domestic role.
